“I believe the Bible is the best gift God has ever given to man.
All the good from The Savior of the world is communicated to us through this Book.”
“Orphans Care Center” of Lviv Archeparchy of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church is religious organization from the very beginning. One of the fundamental streams of work with orphans and children without parental care is their spiritual rearing.
Our pastoral work is preeminently about communal prayer – WE PRAY FOR CHILDREN AND WITH CHILDREN. We teach boarding school pupils Christian principles, starting from elementary things (for example, how to act during Divine Liturgy), we support participation in the Sacrament of Confession and Holy Communion, and, most importantly, we help to establish PERSONAL relationship with God. For the smallest orphans we search people who will become their godparents.
Every year we host the Day of Prayer for the Orphans – on November 11. During the Lent we walk along the Stations of the Cross. We make pilgrimages and go to the Lviv region sacred sites with children and their tutors.
At “Orphans Care Center” children’s choir “Little angels” is functioning – it sings Liturgy at Saints Peter and Paul Garrison Church every Sunday at 13:00.
We want Good to grow with sprouts of love of God and neighbor in the hearts of young orphans and whoever is deprived of parental care.
There is also column “Asking for prayer” on our website, where anyone can leave asking for prayer and our chaplains will gladly pray for Your intentions!
